Individual Shooting Workout

Presented by:

Miken Lay-up Drill – 2 minutes

X-Drill in Lane – 2 minutes
Start at elbow with back to the basket – drive and shoot lay-up – dribble out to other elbow, plant, change direction and drive and shoot lay-up – repeat.  Always dribble with the hand closest to the sideline.

20 Free Throws

Shooting – 10 minutes
Start close to the basket and work on perfect shooting form.  Take your time and think through each shot.  Move out on the court and continue to form shoot.  Evaluate all the parts of your own shot.

Shooting off the pass – 3 minutes
Pass to yourself, square up and shoot.  Go at game speed.

Shooting off the dribble – 3 minutes
Pass to yourself and square up, fake, dribble, square up and shoot.  Go at game speed.  Go both right and left, and vary the number of dribbles on each shot.
